This policy covers the Qibla Daily app for iOS and Android. The separate website privacy policy covers qibladaily.com.
The app calculates prayer times and qibla direction on your device using your phone’s location. Your exact coordinates are never sent to our servers or to any third party — they stay on your device. Only a coarse location label (for example “Istanbul, Türkiye”) is included in your private cloud backup, so your settings carry over if you reinstall the app or switch phones.
The app creates an anonymous account for you automatically — no email, password or personal registration is required. That anonymous account is what lets your prayer log, qada (missed-prayer) tracker, tasbih counts and learning progress back up to the cloud (Firebase, operated by Google) so they survive a new phone. This data is private to your account. It is not shared with other users and not sold to anyone.
We record which features you use — which screens you open, whether notifications fire successfully — to fix bugs and improve the app. These events are tied to your anonymous account identifier, not to your real identity, and are never sold or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
If you subscribe to Premium, purchase and subscription-status information is processed by RevenueCat, our subscription management provider, to verify your entitlement. Apple and Google handle the payment itself — we never see your card details. The subscription terms are set out in the app terms of use.
Free-tier screens may show ads served by Google AdMob. These ads are non-personalised by default: we do not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt, do not request tracking permission, and do not use your advertising identifier to build a profile of you. AdMob still processes minimal technical data, as described in Google’s own privacy policy. In the EEA and the UK you are asked for consent before any ad loads, and declining leaves every feature you were already using unchanged.
We don’t collect your name, email address, phone number or contacts. We don’t track you across other apps or websites. We don’t sell your data.
Premium removes ads entirely. You can delete your account and everything stored with it at any time from Settings → Delete account, inside the app.
